Police in Lake Zone arrest hardcore suspect
Police in Mwanza region in collaboration with Simiyu
and Shinyanga police have arrested a suspected hardcore criminal, Njile
Samweli (46)popularly known as John who has been leading a network of
thugs in the Lake Zone.
The suspect Samwel has been killing his accomplices after accomplishment of his missions, police have confirmed.
Mwanza RPC Valentino Mlowola said that Samweli was nabbed after one of his accomplices Mabula Lyagwa alias Magana (36) was shot by Samweli and taken to Bugando hospital for treatment.
Police said that after succeeding to detain Magana, they interviewed him and resulted in the successful arresting of Samweli who performed different evils including killing his accomplices.
Along with Samweli, others arrested are Mabula Lyagwa, Magingi Doto, Kafuru Thomas, Daniel Pastory, Mashauri Ngulyati, who was found with gun No. PB 3402, a sub-machine gun (SMG), and 331 rounds of ammunition.
“After arresting him, we managed to get his five other gang members who will be charged in court anytime from now,” the RPC noted.
Samweli has conducted different evil acts of robbery and killings in Mwanza, Shinyanga, Simiyu, Tabora and Singida regions, he specified.
Meanwhile, Police in Mwanza region say they will not fail to detain individuals who kidnapped Pendo Emmanuel (4), a child with albinism from her parents on 27th December.
Addressing reporters yesterday in Mwanza, RPC Mlowola along with Charles Mkumbo of Simiyu and Yustus Kamugisha of Shinyanga, he said that if the police will fail to find such criminals the society would have become lawless.
Until now there are four suspects arrested after investigations and interviewing 15 people including Emmanuel Shilinde, the father of the kidnapped child.
